We say about the park of the Capuchin friars(Capuchins) De Coulommiers that he(it) is one of the most beautiful of Ile-de-France...

Superbement fleuri, remarquablement entretenu, parfaitement ordonnancé, ce jardin est un havre de paix... Il abrite les vestiges du château qu'avait fait construire la duchesse de Longueville, princesse de Gonzague et de Clèves... Pour être le plus beau château de la région avec ses 338 ouvertures, ses 373 statues, ses douves profondes, il n'en fut pas moins détruit au milieu du XVIIIème siècle.

Des allées rectilignes qui se croisent, des massifs de fleurs qui se succèdent, composant un savoureux tableau, des arbres judicieusement plantés pour accentuer une perspective ou au contraire recentrer un décor, des bancs agréablement disposés le long des allées pour qui veut s'y reposer... Les vestiges du château ne pouvait trouver plus jolie mise en valeur que cet écrin de verdure ponctuée de mille couleurs...

Lieu de quiétude et de tranquillité, le parc s'anime les soirs d'été pour le festival "Jazz aux Capucins". Chaque dimanche, gratuitement, il est agréable de se retrouver, installé comme il vous en dit, sur une chaise, en tailleur sur la pelouse ou debout rythmant la musique du bout du pied pour un moment de musique dans un si beau décor...
